UNAB has a new Doctor of Physical Molecular

UNAB has a new Doctor of Physical MolecularTatiana Mora gave his public examination in front of the examining committee of the doctorate and became a new graduate of this program graduate of the Universidad Andrés Bello.

On August 30 a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University Molecular Andrés Bello lived a milestone. That day public review gave Tatiana Mora, who after a successful presentation became the fifteenth Doctor degree from the graduate program.

The research of Dr. Mora focused on the theoretical characterization of the adsorption of transition metals and mechanisms for dissociative H2 adsorption on surfaces (001) metal carbides. The study of transition metal carbides is relevant that have unique properties as a good electrical and thermal conductivity as well as high hardness, characteristics that make them attractive in terms of technology.

The examining committee charged with evaluating the work of Dr. Mora was made by Dr. Andres Vega (UNAB), Dr. Fernando Mendizabal (UCH), Dr. Patricia Perez (UNAB) and Dr. Ricardo Likelier (UCH).

The PhD in Molecular Physical Chemistry, headed by Dr. Ramiro Arabia, is key to the research carried out by the Universidad Andrés Bello. In 2009, the program received accreditation from the National Accreditation Commission for a period of six years (2009-2015).
