CONICYT President will participate in next science café in Santiago

CONICYT President will participate in next science café in SantiagoJosé Miguel Aguilera, central guest of the second version of the Science Café 2011 in Santiago, offers an interesting presentation on molecular engineering and gastronomic cuisine. The appointment is for Thursday September 15 at 19:00 pm in the Café des Arts (Metro Arts).

A new scenario for the dissemination of science and technology. This is one of the purposes of the Science Café format that came from abroad and has successfully developed to date in cities such as Valdivia, Concepcion, Valparaiso and Santiago recently.

The idea is to promote dialogue with nationally recognized researchers, who through a casual conversation leave the institutions to share a coffee with general public.

Taking this as north, in its second version, participants can enjoy a pleasant chat with Jose Miguel Aguilera, president of the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT) and the National Prize of Technological Sciences and Applications 2008, who will address the challenges that exist in molecular engineering and gourmet cuisine.

The appointment is for Thursday September 15 at 19:00 pm in the Café des Arts, located at 404 Monitors (Metro Arts)

The event, organized by the National Association of Graduate Researchers (ANIP), the Chilean Association of Science Journalists (ACHIPEC) and the Metropolitan Coordination EXPLORE CONICYT Program, seeks to become a platform for debate on scientific issues that are part of the national contingency.
